SUDDEN INFANT DEATH SYNDROME

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome---- a medical diagnosis regarding the death of an Infant in which there are no findings or medical evidence of the cause of death

 

•       diagnosis of “exclusion” (everything has been excluded)

 

 

Shaken Baby Syndrome--- a medical diagnosis regarding the death of an infant in which there are findings or medical evidence of the cause of death

 

•       diagnosis of “inclusion” (evidence is included in the finding)

 

SIDS could be mis-diagnosed Shaken Baby Syndrome
